Bolton College - Nursing Cadet Scheme

On Thursday 21st January 2016 from 5:30pm till 7:30pm Bolton College is hosting a nurse cadet open evening for potential learners for the next academic year intake (September 2016).

There will be the opportunity to meet staff, current learners and find out about the cadet course in collaboration with Bolton Hospital.

We will be sending out more information soon. If you could please inform any pupil you feel would benefit from this course we would be very grateful.

If you did not manage to get to the Mock Interviews we will be running two workshops on Friday 13th November periods 4 & 5 which are designed to improve your interview techniques . The places are limited to 20 per session so if you want to attend come and see Mr Saunders in L10.

All Colleges are now accepting on-line applications for their Courses ( Including Turton 6th Form ) so now is the time to start completing your Personal Statement. If you need any help or advice then just drop into L10 and see Mrs Ault or Mr Saunders.

University Centre Blackburn will be holding an Open Evening on Wednesday 18th November . The University Centre is a good local option for post 18 studies offering HNC,HND Foundation Degrees and Degrees with partner Universities of Lancaster, Central Lancashire , University of Cumbria and the University of South Wales.

Open Evening - Darwen Aldridge Enterprise Studio

The Darwen Aldridge Enterprise Studio  is having an open evening this Wednesday between 6pm and 8pm. I would be most grateful if you could pass this information onto any of your year 11 students who want to follow A Levels/Btecs in Business (and related subjects) or Creative Digital Media courses next year.

We are currently based in the Darwen Aldridge Community Academy on Suddel Road, Darwen, which is where the open evening will be held on Wednesday 25^th September. The plans for the new building due to open in Sept 2014 will also be on display.

 

We would be delighted if your students and/or staff would be able to come along.

Looking for a career in Medicine?

Salford College Pre-Med, Science and Psychology Societies are holding their next event: Staying Alive on Wednesday 23^rd October from 5.30pm–8pm 

This event is open to pupils in years 10-11 who are interested in a career in health science: Clinical Psychology, Medicine, Dentistry  Physiotherapy, Prosthetics & Orthotics,  Speech & Language Therapy and Radiography.

This event is free; however our last session booked up very quickly and places are allocated in order of replies received so please ask them to reply early to guarantee their place.
